Teen Rapes 13-Year-Old Sister, Impregnates Her in Gujarat’s Surat

A disturbing case from Gujarat’s Surat district has surfaced, where a 16-year-old boy allegedly raped and impregnated his 13-year-old sister. The incident came to light when the girl’s mother took her to a hospital after she complained of stomach pain. The doctor confirmed that the girl was three months pregnant.

Upon questioning, the girl revealed to her mother that her elder brother had coerced her into having sexual intercourse. When she refused, he raped her twice and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter to anyone. Following this, the girl’s mother filed a police complaint against the boy on September 30.

According to the police, the parents, who work as laborers, would leave the house every morning for work, leaving their two children alone at home. The girl, a Class 8 student, had complained of stomach pain at school, after which her mother took her to the hospital, where the pregnancy was confirmed.

Earlier in July this year, a similar tragic incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district, where a 13-year-old boy sexually assaulted and murdered his 9-year-old sister after watching pornography on a mobile phone.

The Madhya Pradesh police, after interrogating 50 people and gathering technical evidence, arrested the boy, along with their mother and sisters, aged 17 and 18, for attempting to cover up the crime. This incident sent shockwaves across the nation, highlighting the urgent need for increased parental supervision and awareness of digital content consumed by children.
