Tamil Nadu Cabinet Reshuffle: Udhayanidhi Deputy CM

In a significant reshuffle of the Tamil Nadu Cabinet, Udhayanidhi Stalin has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Minister, while V Senthil Balaji has returned to his previous position as Minister for Electricity, Prohibition, and Excise. On Sunday, in a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Chennai, Governor RN Ravi administered the oath to Senthil Balaji, Dr. Govi Chezhiaan, R Rajendran, and SM Nasar. The event was attended by Chief Minister MK Stalin and his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the newly appointed Deputy CM.

Senthil Balaji resumed his role as Minister for Electricity, the same portfolio he held earlier. In addition, Dr. Govi Chezhiaan was sworn in as the Tamil Nadu Minister for Higher Education, while R Rajendran was appointed the Minister for Tourism. SM Nasar took over the responsibilities of Minister for Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamils Welfare.

The reshuffle aims to bring new energy and efficiency to the administrative functions of the state government. Udhayanidhi Stalin, already a prominent figure in Tamil Nadu politics, will now take on additional responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Minister. The reappointment of Senthil Balaji reflects the success of his previous tenure, and the induction of new ministers is expected to provide fresh perspectives and leadership across various departments.

This reshuffle in Tamil Nadu’s Cabinet is seen as a strategic move to streamline the state’s administrative functions and bolster governance.
