PM Modi to Indians in US: You are India's Strongest Brand Ambassadors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Indian community in New York during his visit to the US, calling them “India’s strongest brand ambassadors.” His remarks came during the ‘Modi and US’ event, where over 13,000 people gathered at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York, as part of his three-day visit to the US.

PM Modi praised the Indian diaspora’s contributions, saying, “I have always understood the capabilities of the Indian community, even when I held no official position. For me, all of you have been strong brand ambassadors of India, which is why I call you ‘Rashtradoots’ (brand ambassadors).”

Highlighting India’s diversity, PM Modi said, “We come from a country where dozens of languages and dialogues coexist, with all faiths and religions in harmony, yet we are moving forward united.” His statement was met with applause from the audience. He also emphasized the significance of India’s recent Lok Sabha elections, which his party won for a historic third time in a row.

This event marked the second day of PM Modi’s three-day visit to the US, which began on Saturday, September 21. On Saturday, he arrived in US President Joe Biden’s hometown, Wilmington, Delaware, for the Quad Summit. The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen India-US ties and exchanged views on regional and global issues.

PM Modi participated in the Quad Leaders’ Summit alongside Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. During the sixth Quad Summit, the leaders discussed various global challenges, including maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region, health, climate change, and the current geopolitical landscape.

PM Modi’s US visit will conclude on Monday with his address at the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
