Rajinikanth Praises MK Stalin’s Leadership in Managing DMK Old Guard
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth recently praised Chief Minister MK Stalin for his effective leadership in managing the senior members of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) following the death of his father, former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Speaking at a book launch event, Rajinikanth highlighted Stalin’s ability to handle the party’s “old guard,” which includes many influential and senior leaders.
“For a school teacher like Stalin, handling new students isn’t a problem at all. But managing the old students (senior leaders) is not an easy task. Here (in DMK), there are many old students. These are not normal students. They are all rank holders. How to manage all of them? Especially people like Durai Murugan. Stalin sir, hats off to you,” Rajinikanth said.
Rajinikanth also commended Stalin’s efforts in continuing his father’s legacy, noting that under Stalin’s leadership, the DMK has seen consecutive victories in all elections. “After the death of any party leader or the patriarch of a party, we have seen how those who come behind them struggle to take everything forward. Many have failed too. But here, Stalin is taking everything forward so easily,” the actor added.
The event also saw the presence of Chief Minister MK Stalin and his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, with the book authored by DMK minister EV Velu.
In his speech, Rajinikanth recalled how Union Minister Rajnath Singh praised Karunanidhi despite coming from a different ideological background. Singh had spoken highly of Karunanidhi during the release of a Rs 100 coin on his birth centenary.
Rajinikanth further praised Udhayanidhi Stalin, who recently transitioned into politics from films. “Udhayanidhi Stalin is working hard and has created his own style of public speaking. He has earned a good name for himself amongst the people and party workers. He is proving that he will have a good future in politics,” Rajinikanth said.
