Rajinikanth Admitted to Hospital, Condition Stable

On September 30, Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. The 73-year-old actor’s condition is stable, and sources indicate that he is likely to undergo an elective procedure today, October 1.

The veteran actor was admitted late on Monday, September 30. An official medical bulletin regarding his condition is expected soon. Reports suggested that he complained of stomach pain. However, sources confirmed that the Vettaiyan actor will undergo the scheduled procedure today.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin conveyed his wishes for Rajinikanth’s speedy recovery. His post on X in Tamil loosely translates to: “I wish my friend Mr. Rajinikanth, who has been hospitalized, a speedy recovery.”

Actor-politician R. Sarath Kumar also shared his good wishes for Rajinikanth. His post in Tamil translates to: “I wish my dear friend Mr. Rajinikanth, who has been admitted to the hospital due to sudden illness, to get well soon. I pray that he may soon take up all his duties with full vigor and health.”

The hospitalization of Rajinikanth has raised concerns among his die-hard fans. Many users on X posted messages praying for his swift recovery.

In recent weeks, Rajinikanth had been shooting for his upcoming film, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The filming is currently taking place in Visakhapatnam. He traveled to Chennai on September 20 to attend the audio launch of Vettaiyan.

At the audio launch, Rajinikanth performed the hookstep of Manasilaayo alongside composer Anirudh Ravichander and lyricist Super Subbu. He also delivered an almost hour-long speech at the event.

Vettaiyan is Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, set to hit theaters on October 10. The hard-hitting action drama is directed by TJ Gnanavel.
