PM Modi attacks Congress after Haryana win: Accuses them of spreading lies among Dalits
After a sweeping victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party. While virtually addressing people in Nagpur, PM Modi accused Congress of spreading lies among the Dalit community and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the welfare of all sections of society.
“The people of Haryana have rejected the hateful conspiracies of Congress and its urban Naxal allies,” said PM Modi.
The BJP secured a historic third consecutive win in Haryana, breaking anti-incumbency and leaving Congress hopes shattered. The party won 48 seats, while Congress could only manage 37, marking a resounding victory for the BJP in the agriculturally dominant state.
PM Modi further accused Congress of misleading the public. “Congress tried to spread lies among Dalits, but they realized that Congress would strip them of their reservations to appease their vote bank. The Dalit community in Haryana extended record support to the BJP,” he said.
PM Modi also highlighted how Congress attempted to instigate farmers and youth. “The farmers and youth of Haryana have placed their trust in BJP for a brighter future,” he added.
These remarks came as part of PM Modi’s virtual address at a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over ₹7,600 crores in Nagpur. He also laid the foundation stones for the expansion of Nagpur’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport and a new integrated terminal building at Shirdi Airport.
Maharashtra, which is set to hold assembly elections later this year, will see the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance vying for another term in office.
