Madhya Pradesh witnessed two separate cases of rape over the last two days that have sent shockwaves through society. In the first case, a newly married woman from Rewa, who had gone out with her husband, was gang-raped by five men. This incident occurred when a minor argument broke out between the couple, and five men, seizing the opportunity, harassed and subsequently raped the woman. The police, treating this as a sensitive case, have detained over 100 people for questioning. The victim mentioned that one of the accused had distinct tattoos on his hands and chest.
The second incident took place in Indore, where a 40-year-old woman suffering from mental illness was raped by a 20-year-old man late at night. In response, the police swiftly identified and arrested the accused using CCTV footage. The victim is currently receiving treatment and mental health assistance.
