Aakhir Tak – In Shorts

  1. Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has formed an alliance with a Pakistani national, Mohammad Salman Yunus, in the US.
  2. Pannun and Yunus co-founded ‘Sikhs for Justice’ (SFJ) and the ‘Kashmir Khalistan Referendum Front’ (KKRF), supported by Pakistan’s ISI.
  3. The silence of Western nations has empowered these groups to continue their anti-India activities without restrictions.

Aakhir Tak – In Depth

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a prominent face of the Khalistani movement and the leader of the banned ‘Sikhs for Justice’ (SFJ) organization, operates freely in the US with the support of Pakistan. SFJ is heavily involved in anti-India activities, inciting violence through various platforms. Despite these serious actions, countries like the US and Canada have taken little meaningful action to curb his influence.

Pannun’s Alliance with Pakistan

Pannun’s ties with Pakistan became clearer when it was revealed that the non-profit organization ‘Sikhs for Justice’ was established with the help of a Pakistani national, Mohammad Salman Yunus. Together, Pannun and Yunus founded the ‘Kashmir Khalistan Referendum Front’ (KKRF), operating under Pakistan’s ISI to destabilize India by supporting both the Kashmir and Khalistan separatist movements.

ISI and Separatist Alliances

KKRF is closely linked to ‘Friends of Kashmir’ (FOK), led by Ghazala Habib, another organization under the influence of Pakistan’s ISI. FOK actively promotes anti-India sentiments. In 2020, a webinar hosted by FOK brought together US Congress members and Pakistani representatives, reflecting the deepening ties between these separatist movements.

Pakistan’s ISI and the Khalistan Agenda

Pakistan’s ISI has long supported Khalistani separatists to weaken India’s unity. Pannun’s efforts to promote the Khalistan referendum are part of this larger strategy. Despite this, Khalistani extremists, particularly in Canada, continue to operate freely. Western countries have largely ignored these activities, allowing them to grow stronger over time.
