Keshav Maurya Praises Yogi Amid Rift Rumors

Amid swirling speculations about a rift within the Uttar Pradesh BJP leadership, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has openly praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, hailing him as the best Chief Minister in the entire country. Speaking at an event in Mirzapur on Sunday, Maurya highlighted Yogi Adityanath’s leadership qualities, contrasting them with other state leaders.

Keshav Maurya also extended his admiration to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as the “most powerful leader” in the world. He rhetorically questioned, “Is there any other leader in the country like Modi ji? Is there any other Chief Minister in the country like Yogi Adityanath ji?” These statements underscore his alignment with the central and state leadership, despite the rumors of internal discord.

Maurya’s praise for Yogi Adityanath comes at a time when there are reports suggesting growing discontent between the two leaders, particularly after the BJP’s less-than-stellar performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. While addressing party workers, Maurya acknowledged that the workers’ contributions often go unrecognized. He emphasized the importance of involving party workers in government initiatives to ensure they receive due respect and recognition at the grassroots level.

Despite the speculated rift, Maurya was quick to defend the achievements of the double-engine government—where the same party governs both at the state and central levels—praising its exceptional work in Uttar Pradesh. “Our double-engine government is doing excellent work, unprecedented in the history of independent India,” he asserted.

The alleged discord within the UP BJP unit gained momentum after differing opinions were expressed by Maurya and Adityanath regarding the BJP’s performance in the Lok Sabha polls. At a BJP working committee meeting in Lucknow, Maurya emphasized that the party organization is more significant than the government, and that the sentiments of the workers should be prioritized. Meanwhile, Yogi Adityanath attributed the party’s setbacks to overconfidence.

The ongoing discussion surrounding these differing viewpoints continues to fuel speculation about the relationship between the two key leaders in the UP BJP.
