A California-based startup, REMspace, has achieved a remarkable milestone by facilitating communication between two individuals in their dreams. Conducted on September 24, this experiment involved participants exchanging messages while experiencing lucid dreaming. This breakthrough is significant not only for scientific research but could also be beneficial in areas like mental health treatment.

Lucid dreaming occurs when a person becomes aware of their dreams, typically during the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage of sleep. The participants were equipped with specialized devices that tracked their brain waves and other data, monitored in real-time by a central server.

The first participant heard the word ‘Zhilak’ in his lucid dream and vocalized it. This was the first message transmitted from one dreamer to another. Eight minutes later, the second participant entered her lucid dream, where she received and repeated the same word, confirming the possibility of dream communication.

REMspace utilized specially designed equipment for this experiment but did not disclose specific technological details. If this experiment gains approval and can be replicated by other scientists, it could mark a significant milestone in sleep research.
