The swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister of Delhi is likely to be held on February 19 or 20, according to government sources. The legislative party meeting may happen on February 17 or 18. Preparations for government formation in Delhi are likely to intensify after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in New Delhi late on Friday. The announcement of the Delhi Chief Minister could be imminent.
A meeting will be held between PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and other top BJP leaders to discuss the matter. Several names are being considered for the position of Delhi Chief Minister.
Out of 48 MLAs, 15 names were shortlisted, and from them, nine will be selected for the Chief Minister, ministers, and Speaker positions. All eyes are on who will become the Delhi Chief Minister.

Parvesh Verma, who emerged as a giant killer by defeating Kejriwal in the New Delhi seat, leads the list of potential Chief Ministerial faces in Delhi. Vijender Gupta, a senior BJP leader who has served as the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Satish Upadhyay, a key Brahmin face who previously served as the state president, Ashish Sood, the general secretary of the Delhi BJP who enjoys close relations with central leaders, and Jitendra Mahajan, a strong RSS hand from the Vaishya community, are other contenders. These leaders are being considered for the position of Delhi Chief Minister.
