BSF Shoots Down Pakistani Drone in Ferozepur
The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone in Punjab’s Ferozepur, which was carrying 500 grams of heroin, a pistol, and a magazine. This incident occurred on Saturday, according to officials. The drone, identified as a Chinese-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic, had violated Indian airspace.
BSF Punjab tweeted, “Alert troops of BSF intercepted a Pakistani drone that violated Indian airspace. BSF personnel immediately fired at the drone and subsequently brought it down using technical measures.” Officials stated that this was the second seizure of the day, involving a drone and narcotics.
The BSF has previously shot down multiple Pakistani drones in Punjab. In March, Punjab Police seized two Pakistani-made drones near Amritsar. Additionally, another Chinese-made drone was shot down near the India-Pakistan border in Gurdaspur district in February.
