Two Arrested, One Suspect on the Run in Baba Siddique Murder Case
Two accused, Gurmail Baljit Singh and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, have been arrested in connection with the murder of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique. The third suspect, Shiv Kumar, is still on the run. Gurmail, who hails from Kaithal, Haryana, was out on bail for another murder case. His family claims they had no contact with him after his release. Similarly, Dharmaraj’s family from Uttar Pradesh also stated they had no knowledge of his whereabouts.
Gurmail’s grandmother revealed that he had briefly returned home after being released but left without much interaction. The family had not heard from him since. Dharmaraj, who was working in a scrapyard in Pune, also disappeared after Holi without any further contact with his family.
The third suspect, Shiv Kumar, was also working in Pune and hadn’t been in touch with his family since the murder occurred. According to Mumbai Police, the two arrested suspects confessed to being members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A member of the gang claimed responsibility for the murder on social media, suggesting Baba Siddique’s connections to Bollywood actor Salman Khan might have played a role in the crime.
