On Saturday evening, the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell received a threat message from an unknown number. The message stated that if Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath did not resign within 10 days, he would be killed similarly to former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. The police are investigating the source of the message and have yet to register an FIR. Following this message, the Chief Minister’s security has been increased.
This threat comes days after a man was arrested for issuing a death threat to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and demanding a ransom of Rs 2 crore. The man, identified as Azam Mohammed Mustafa from Bandra East, Mumbai, was arrested on October 30. Additionally, a 20-year-old man, Mohammad Tayyab, was arrested in Noida for threatening Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddique, the son of NCP MLA Baba Siddique, and demanding money.
