On January 18, Akash was mistakenly arrested by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Durg while travelling to meet his prospective bride.

After his arrest, Akash was detained by Mumbai police. Although he was later released when his innocence was proven, his photos had already been circulated in the media. This caused significant damage to his reputation. Akash said, “When I called my employer, he asked me not to report to work. My grandmother told me my marriage proposal was also cancelled.”

Akash’s grandmother, Tulsa Bai Yadav, explained, “He worked in Mumbai and wasn’t in frequent contact with us. But the railway police wrongly detained him, leading to the loss of his job and marriage proposal. Now, we have demanded compensation from the government.”
