The horrifying crime came to light after the girl was discovered to be pregnant during a medical examination.

Allegations of Bribery

The survivor’s mother has claimed that Mohammed Rashid, a local leader and the Bhadarsa Nagar Panchayat Chairman, offered her money in an attempt to settle the case. Rashid allegedly urged her to withdraw the complaint. The survivor’s mother described Rashid’s offer and stated, “They wanted to silence us with money, but we are seeking justice for our daughter.”

Official Reactions

The case has attracted significant attention from both state officials and opposition leaders. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with state police officials, has assured a thorough investigation and promised strict action against those responsible. The Chief Minister also called for the provision of financial assistance to the victim’s family.

In response to the allegations, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Vishwanath Pal visited the survivor’s family.
