Aakhir Tak – In Depth

Actor Salman Khan’s security has been significantly ramped up following the murder of his close friend and former Maharashtra minister, Baba Siddique. Due to their close ties, Salman Khan has now been provided Y-plus security, with a police escort vehicle traveling alongside him, and an armed constable always present for his protection.

The need for increased security became even more apparent after the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for Siddique’s murder, citing his association with Salman Khan as the primary motive. This gang has threatened Khan multiple times, and in June, Mumbai Police foiled a plot to assassinate him near his Panvel farmhouse.

Security has also been heightened at Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse, with additional personnel deployed inside and outside the premises. Navi Mumbai Police has set up blockades in the area to inspect vehicles passing near the farmhouse. Earlier this year, a plan to kill Khan with an AK-47 rifle was thwarted near the farmhouse.

Additionally, security on the set of Bigg Boss, which Khan is currently hosting, has been strengthened, particularly during the shoot of Weekend Ka Vaar. Khan’s security detail will continue to remain tight after recent death threats. Meanwhile, his upcoming project ‘Sikandar’ is currently on hold, but filming is set to resume soon.

Baba Siddique’s murder, which occurred the day after Salman Khan’s last Bigg Boss shoot, triggered this heightened security. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, citing Siddique’s ties to Salman Khan and alleged connections to underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim.
