Aakhir Tak – In Depth:
Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, founder of Sikhs for Justice, recently appeared on Canadian broadcaster CBC News, making a startling revelation. Pannun claimed that his organization had been communicating with the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for the last 2-3 years, providing details about the Indian spy network and the assassination of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
According to Pannun, the Indian High Commissioner to Canada, Sanjay Verma, and other officials supported the spy networks that facilitated Nijjar’s killing. This claim further inflamed tensions between the two nations. Following these accusations, India recalled Sanjay Verma and other diplomats from Canada. The diplomatic row between India and Canada has continued to escalate, with Canada naming several Indian diplomats as persons of interest in Nijjar’s assassination case.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) also identified links between Indian agents and violent acts in Canada, which allegedly targeted pro-Khalistani elements. However, neither the RCMP nor Prime Minister Trudeau has presented solid evidence to support these charges.
Pannun went on to criticize the Indo-Canadian community, questioning their loyalty to the Canadian Constitution. He claimed that since Nijjar’s murder, no Indo-Canadian organizations have openly supported Prime Minister Trudeau, adding to the friction between the South Asian community and Canadian authorities. In the past, Pannun has issued threats to Indo-Canadian Hindus, urging them to leave Canada.
