Aakhir Tak – In Depth
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a strong message on Saturday following a drone attack near his residence, declaring that nothing would stop him from continuing the war effort. Released on Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest, the rare video statement showed Netanyahu standing firm in the ongoing conflict with Hamas. While he did not directly address the drone strike on his Caesarea residence, his tone remained resolute, emphasizing Israel’s determination to win the war.

This statement came two days after the successful elimination of Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader responsible for the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel. Netanyahu praised the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for their efforts, stating, “We took out the terrorist mastermind who beheaded our men, raped our women, and burned babies alive.” He further highlighted that the conflict was an existential battle and vowed to continue fighting Iran’s other terrorist proxies.
Earlier that day, a drone launched from Lebanon exploded near Netanyahu’s private residence. Fortunately, the Prime Minister and his wife were not present at the time. Two drones were intercepted by Israeli air defenses, triggering sirens in Tel Aviv, while a third drone managed to hit a building in Caesarea. According to reports, no casualties occurred, but the explosion caused significant damage to the building.
This attack follows the IDF’s elimination of Yahya Sinwar, who was hunted for over a year. His death marks a pivotal point in the ongoing Gaza conflict, which has heightened tensions between Israel and Hamas. Netanyahu concluded his statement by reaffirming Israel’s commitment to continue the fight against other Iranian-backed terrorist organizations.
