On October 14, Air India flight AI119 from Mumbai to New York was diverted to Delhi following a bomb threat. The flight took off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at around 2 AM. Shortly after takeoff, a bomb threat was received via a tweet. Upon receiving this alert, the government’s security regulatory committee immediately instructed the flight to divert to Delhi.

In an official statement, Air India said, “Flight AI119 operating from Mumbai to JFK received a specific security alert and was diverted to Delhi.
