Liam Payne’s Death: Confirmation of ‘Pink Cocaine’ and Other Substances
Pop star Liam Payne had multiple drugs, including crack cocaine and methamphetamine, in his system at the time of his death. Initial toxicology reports indicate that he fell from a third-floor hotel room in Buenos Aires, where a cocktail of drugs known as “pink cocaine” was found. This mixture reportedly contained methamphetamine, ketamine, and MDMA, according to U.S. media sources.
The post-mortem results revealed that he was alone during the fall and was “going through an episode of substance abuse.” An improvised aluminum pipe for ingesting drugs was also discovered in his hotel room.
Staff at the hotel had called emergency services twice, reporting a guest “overwhelmed by drugs and alcohol.” Prosecutors stated that Payne suffered “multiple traumas” and “internal and external hemorrhaging.”
Local police have interviewed a hotel employee suspected of providing drugs to Payne on the day of his death, but no arrests or charges have been made yet.
Liam Payne was a member of One Direction, the hugely successful pop group that rose to fame on the British television talent show “The X Factor” in 2010. The group went on indefinite hiatus in 2016. Payne achieved solo success but has openly discussed struggles with alcoholism and the pressures of fame in recent years.
He was also the father of a seven-year-old son with Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy.
