In Lucknow, a law student resorted to theft to meet his girlfriend’s expensive demands. The accused, Abdul Haleem, a resident of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested and sent to jail.
Recently, a series of thefts occurred in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Following a thorough investigation, the police apprehended a suspect named Abdul, using CCTV footage to track his movements and identify him as a key suspect in the incidents.
After his arrest, Abdul Haleem confessed to committing several thefts aimed at fulfilling his girlfriend’s extravagant demands. Over just one week, he targeted three homes in the area.
Abdul revealed that his girlfriend had a penchant for shopping, visiting malls, buying iPhones, going to clubs, and watching movies. To finance his girlfriend’s luxurious lifestyle, Abdul Haleem turned to theft as a means to an end. He was discovered in possession of jewelry and cash stolen from several homes in Gomti Nagar.
Senior police officer Keshav Kumar stated that Abdul Haleem confessed to stealing to meet his girlfriend’s demands. “His criminal activities came to light when he was captured on CCTV during one of the thefts. The homeowner was promptly alerted to the situation by an alarm notification on their phone, which played a crucial role in the investigation,” he stated.
