Aakhir Tak – In Depth In Kanpur district, the body of 32-year-old Ekta Gupta has been found four months after her disappearance. The body was recovered from a club where it was allegedly buried by her gym trainer, Vishal Soni. According to police, Ekta and Vishal were in a relationship, which turned into a dispute due to Vishal’s engagement to another woman.

On June 24, during an argument at the gym, Vishal allegedly punched Ekta, causing her to faint. He then murdered her and buried the body near the residence of the District Magistrate in Kanpur. Police sources indicate that Vishal chose this location after being inspired by the Bollywood film “Drishyam.”

A senior Kanpur police official stated, “A case has been registered against Soni under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Based on his information, the body of the woman has been recovered, and identification has been made by her family.”

However, Ekta’s husband, Rahul Gupta, denied any romantic relationship between his wife and Vishal. He asserted, “This is a case of kidnapping. We filed a report for the kidnapping and provided information through the media twice in four months.”
