This photo has raised serious questions about the conditions within the prison, where Darshan is seen in the company of notorious rowdy-sheeters, including Wilson Garden Naga.
The image shows Darshan in what looks like a park inside the jail, surrounded by other inmates who appear to be enjoying a leisurely time with him. The picture has drawn widespread criticism, with many questioning how such luxuries could be afforded to a prisoner, especially one involved in a murder case.
The prison department has taken swift action, summoning top officials to address the issue. The controversy centers around the murder of Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old auto driver and fan of Darshan, who was found dead near a flyover in Bengaluru on June 9. Police allege that Renukaswamy was kidnapped and murdered by a gang at Darshan’s behest after the victim allegedly sent offensive messages to actress Pavithra Gowda, rumored to be Darshan’s partner.
Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others have been arrested in connection with the case. The actor’s judicial custody, along with others involved, has been extended by a Bengaluru court until August 28, further prolonging the legal proceedings.
The incident has not only cast a shadow over Darshan’s reputation but has also led to questions regarding the treatment of high-profile inmates in Indian prisons. As the investigation continues, the public and authorities alike are demanding answers on how such a situation could have occurred within the prison system.
