K Kavitha Released After Bail in Liquor Policy Case

K Kavitha, the prominent BRS leader, was released from Tihar Jail on Tuesday evening following her bail granted by the Supreme Court in the Delhi excise policy case. Kavitha, who had been in custody for nearly five months, expressed her emotions and determination to fight the charges politically and legally.

Upon her release, K Kavitha raised the slogan ‘Jai Telangana’ as her supporters celebrated with crackers and drums outside the jail. The emotional reunion with her family, including her son, husband, and brother KT Rama Rao, was captured in a video that quickly spread across social media.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested K Kavitha from her residence in Hyderabad on March 15, followed by her subsequent arrest by the CBI on April 11 while she was already in Tihar Jail. The Supreme Court, recognizing that the investigation by both the CBI and ED had been completed, granted her bail, marking a significant moment in this high-profile case.
