Joe Biden Feeling Left Out, Upset at Being Sidelined in Kamala Harris’s Campaign: Report
President Joe Biden, after spending decades in American politics, is reportedly feeling sidelined from the national political conversation. A report by NBC News cites six individuals familiar with the matter, who claim Biden is upset with the current focus of the conversation on Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, while his contributions are being overlooked.
The upcoming 2024 presidential election, set for November 5, has taken a surprising turn with Biden pulling out of the race, despite initial enthusiasm. NBC News reports that Biden is particularly frustrated that Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he hand-picked as his successor, has not been mentioning his name, especially regarding economic policies that he believes were shaped by his administration.
After a poor debate performance in July against Republican candidate Donald Trump, Biden withdrew from the race, paving the way for Harris. Biden, however, still believes that Harris winning would be a significant boost to his legacy and plans to support her campaign wherever possible.
Biden’s Struggles
Biden’s decision to exit the race was fueled by growing concerns about his health and age, which had become a dominant narrative in both media and political circles. His physical mishaps and occasional public gaffes had raised questions about his ability to continue leading the country, resulting in pressure from within his own Democratic Party.
Final Push
The turning point came during a presidential debate with Donald Trump, where Biden’s underwhelming performance further fueled concerns. According to a CNN poll, 67% of viewers believed Trump won the debate, leading Biden to step back and allow Harris to take center stage.
Now, with Harris leading Trump in several polls, the race remains highly competitive, with Biden watching from the sidelines.
