Now, you might have heard about the merger between Viacom18 and Star India, which has resulted in JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar content being available on a single platform – JioHotstar. JioHotstar Launched: What will happen to existing Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema subscription? If you are currently subscribed to Disney+ Hotstar or JioCinema, your existing subscriptions will remain valid until their original expiry dates. For example, if your Disney+ Hotstar plan is valid until April 2025, there will be no changes, and the subscription will continue as usual. Once your existing plan ends, you will be required to buy the JioHotstar pack. This is important for the users to know.

What content will you now see on JioHotstar? The company has confirmed that all of the JioHotstar plans will give users access to all content on the platform: Unlimited live sports (Cricket, Tennis grand slams, Premier League and more). Latest Indian movie digital premieres, Hotstar Specials, and Star serials before TV. Disney+ Originals, popular Disney movies & kid’s shows (in English & select Indian languages). This merger provides a lot of content in one place.

JioHotstar Launched: Full list of plans, prices and benefits. There are a total of three plans – Mobile, Super and Premium. All these come with different benefits and will cost you accordingly.

Mobile plan: This supports a single screen and is not ad-free. For your reference, a single screen means that you will be able to watch content on one smartphone at a time. The 3-month Mobile JioHotstar subscription will cost you Rs 149 and the yearly subscription is priced at Rs 499.
Super plan: This one too is an ad-supported JioHotstar plan, which supports dual screens. So, you will be able to watch content on two devices simultaneously. People will be allowed to watch content on Mobile, Web, tablets, TVs and other devices. The 3-month JioHotstar Super plan will cost you Rs 299 and the annual plan is priced at Rs 899.
Premium: Since this is the most expensive JioHotstar subscription, it will let you watch content without ads. It will also offer access to four screens at a time, which is applicable for any supported device like tablet, laptop or mobile. As mentioned above, all content will be ad-free, except for the LIVE sports or shows. Users should avail of the benefits of these plans.
