The Israeli military has claimed that it killed Hezbollah leader Nabil Kaouk in airstrikes on Beirut, just a day after the death of Hezbollah’s chief Hassan Nasrallah. The Israeli military announced on X that they had successfully targeted senior leader Nabil Kaouk, a key figure in the Iran-backed militant group and a potential successor to Nasrallah.
Kaouk, who served as the commander of Hezbollah’s Preventive Security Unit and was a member of its Central Council, was eliminated by Israeli fighter jets operating under precise military intelligence guidance. Hezbollah has not yet confirmed this development.
Israeli strikes have increasingly targeted Hezbollah’s strongholds in southern Beirut and the Bekaa Valley, where Israel claims the group stores thousands of rockets.
The ongoing conflict between Hezbollah leaders and Israeli military forces complicates the security situation in the region. Israeli airstrikes have significantly impacted Hezbollah’s capabilities, raising concerns over the group’s ability to conduct operations.
Analysts believe that such airstrikes could weaken Hezbollah’s terrorist activities and disrupt their operational framework.
