Israel not only rigged Hezbollah’s pagers with explosives but actually manufactured them through shell companies, according to jaw-dropping reports.
After thousands of Hezbollah fighters’ pagers exploded in Lebanon on Tuesday, it was initially believed that Israel infiltrated the supply chain. However, new reports reveal Israel might have set up shell companies to manufacture the pagers themselves.
Israel’s Bombing Prompts Hezbollah to Adopt Pagers
Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad has a reputation for foreign bombings. This made Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah urge his operatives to avoid using modern communication tools like cell phones, opting for pagers instead. These pagers were imported from a Hungary-based company named BAC.
Israel’s Covert Pager Manufacturing Plan
Following a mass order of pagers from Lebanon, Israel set up a shell company, BAC Consulting, using the branding of Taiwan’s Gold Apollo. According to reports, BAC was secretly producing explosive-laden pagers targeting Hezbollah.
Pagers for Civilians Too
The New York Times reports that Israel’s BAC produced not only civilian pagers but also explosive-laced devices for Hezbollah. These pagers, referred to as ‘buttons’ by Israeli intelligence, could be remotely detonated.

At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Israel sent a signal, triggering the pagers to beep. In moments, Lebanon was thrown into chaos as Hezbollah’s ranks were devastated. This operation appeared to be a prelude to something far larger than a mere message.
