IndiGo was ranked 103rd among 109 global airlines in the 2024 AirHelp report. This annual ranking assesses airlines on three parameters: on-time performance, customer feedback, and compensation processing. IndiGo received a score of 4.80, while Brussels Airlines led the list with 8.12.
IndiGo Refutes AirHelp Report
IndiGo strongly refuted the findings, citing issues with the survey’s sample size and methodology.
“India’s DGCA data consistently highlights IndiGo’s superior performance in punctuality and low complaint ratios,” the airline stated.
IndiGo emphasized its commitment to providing affordable, on-time, and hassle-free travel.
DGCA Data Supports IndiGo
Contrary to the AirHelp report, DGCA data for October 2023 showed IndiGo had only 0.2 complaints per 10,000 passengers, reflecting a high level of customer satisfaction. IndiGo claimed this was indicative of its robust and customer-focused operations.
Air India’s Position and Global Rankings
While IndiGo ranked poorly, Air India secured the 61st spot with a score of 6.15. The global rankings highlighted Brussels Airlines, Qatar Airways, and United Airlines as the top three performers. Meanwhile, Tunisair was ranked last.
