Shooting Events: Manu Bhaker and Team Aim for Medals

On Day 3 of the Paris Olympics 2024, India’s medal hopes are pinned on the shooting events. Manu Bhaker, fresh off a bronze medal in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event, will team up with Sarabjot Singh for the 10m air pistol mixed team qualification. Another pair, Arjun Singh Cheema and Rhythm Sangwan, will also compete in the same event.

In the men’s events, Prithviraj Tondaiman will participate in the Trap Men’s Qualification Round, while Arjun Babuta aims for a podium finish in the 10m Air Rifle Men’s Final. Ramita Jindal will represent India in the 10m Air Rifle Women’s Final, seeking to add another medal to India’s tally.

Archery and Badminton: Key Matches to Watch

The archery men’s team, consisting of Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Ramesh Jadhav, will compete in the quarterfinals. If they advance, they will contest the semi-finals and potentially the medal rounds later in the day.

In badminton, Lakshya Sen, who faced an unexpected change in the draw, will play against Julien Carraggi in the men’s singles group stage. The women’s doubles team of Tanisha Crasto and Ashwani Ponnappa will face a challenging match against Japan’s Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida.

Hockey and Table Tennis: India’s Key Fixtures

The Indian men’s hockey team will clash with Argentina, following their impressive victory over New Zealand. This match is crucial for India’s advancement in the tournament. In table tennis, Manika Batra will compete in the Women’s Singles Round of 32, facing Prithika Pavade of France.
