Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address to the Indian community in New York, stated, “India no longer waits for opportunities; it creates them.” Modi addressed the ‘Modi and US’ event as part of his three-day visit to the United States.
In his speech, Modi said, “India is now the land of opportunities. Over the past 10 years, India has built launching pads of opportunities in every sector.” He also gave a new meaning to AI, referring to it as ‘American Indians,’ highlighting the spirit that is taking India-US relations to new heights.
PM Modi then introduced another definition of AI, calling it ‘Aspirational India,’ where “each aspiration gives birth to new achievements, and every achievement fuels a new aspiration.” He noted that India has risen to the fifth-largest economy globally and now every Indian aspires for it to become the third-largest.
Modi also emphasized the global appeal of “Namaste,” stating that it has become a symbol of India’s cultural presence worldwide.
The Indian community welcomed him with chants of ‘Modi, Modi,’ as traditional Indian dance performances took place, involving over 500 artists. This event followed the Prime Minister’s participation in the Quad Leaders’ Summit, where various critical topics, including security cooperation, were discussed.
