Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Congress and its allies of being part of a global conspiracy to weaken India’s economy, democracy, and social fabric. In a speech celebrating BJP’s historic victory in Haryana, Modi called it a triumph of truth, development, and good governance.
“Global conspiracies are underway to weaken India, and Congress is part of this game,” Modi said, as BJP won 48 of 90 seats, securing its third consecutive term in Haryana, while Congress won 37 seats. Modi described the victory as a success for every caste and class, emphasizing that it reflects the government’s efforts.
Modi also criticized Congress for treating power as its “birthright” and being desperate to regain it. He noted that once in office, Congress does not hesitate to prioritize its own interests over the nation’s welfare.
Reflecting on Haryana’s political history, Modi pointed out that the state has frequently changed leadership. “This is the first time the people have allowed a government to continue its work,” he said, hailing it as a historic moment.
The Prime Minister attributed the BJP’s success to the hard work of party workers and the leadership of Chief Minister and BJP President JP Nadda. He praised their dedication and said that the victory signifies the fulfillment of their responsibilities.
