HCL Employee Dies from Cardiac Arrest: Tragic News
In a tragic incident, Nitin Edwin Michael, a 40-year-old HCL employee, died from a cardiac arrest in Nagpur.
This unfortunate event occurred on Friday when Nitin went to the company’s washroom and was later found unresponsive.
He was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
According to officials from the Sonegaon police station, Nitin’s body was sent for postmortem.
Police registered a case of accidental death. Initial autopsy findings confirmed that Nitin died from a cardiac arrest.
Nitin is survived by his wife and their six-year-old son. Further investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, HCL Technologies expressed condolences and labeled the incident as ‘unfortunate.’
The company emphasized that employee wellbeing is its utmost priority.
In an official statement, HCL Technologies said, “This is a tragic loss. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased employee and are providing all possible assistance. Emergency support was provided at the campus healthcare clinic, and the employee was rushed to the hospital.”
The company further added, “We provide healthcare programs for all our employees and their families, including on-campus clinics and annual preventive health checks.”
