A five-year-old boy was allegedly gangraped on September 19 in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district. The incident came to light when the boy’s health deteriorated on September 26. When family members saw injury marks on the boy’s body, he narrated the entire incident.
According to the complaint of the boy’s family, the accused, identified as Arsh and Junaid, picked up the boy from his house and took him to a nearby field and gangraped him. Two goat herders, Rizwan and Alfaz, who were present in the field, made a video of the heinous act and shared it on the internet.
The accused also assaulted the family members and threatened them that they would kill the boy’s family. When the family members went to their house to complain, they were threatened. The family lodged a complaint with the police considering the gravity of the incident.
The police have registered an FIR based on the complaint, which includes sections 140-4 (kidnapping), 351-2 (criminal intimidation), and 352 (intentional assault) of the Indian Justice Code as well as sections of the POCSO Act.
Commenting on the matter, a senior Hapur police official said that multiple teams have been formed to nab the accused. Inspector Vijay Kumar said, “The boy’s family has made serious allegations against four persons. A case has been registered based on the complaint, and the accused will be arrested soon.”
