Aakhir Tak – In Depth
Tech magnate Elon Musk stated he paid $2.5 million in child support to influencer Ashley St Clair. St Clair alleges she is the mother of his 13th child. However, Musk simultaneously questioned the paternity of the 6-month-old boy. This situation highlights the ongoing Elon Musk Child Support dispute.
Musk’s Claim and Paternity Doubts
The Tesla CEO addressed the issue on his social media platform X on March 31. “I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed,” Musk wrote. He elaborated further, “Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”
Musk’s comments were a direct response to a video. Far-right activist Laura Loomer posted the video showing St Clair selling her Tesla Model S. This sale was reportedly to compensate for a “60 percent cut” in child support payments from Musk. In the video clip, St Clair accused Musk of financial retaliation for speaking out against him. “That’s his modus operandi, when women speak out,” she asserted.
Musk denied this specific accusation. However, he did not provide clarity on whether he had indeed reduced the payments. Laura Loomer then advised Musk via X to sue for full custody of the child. “Everyone can see she is not being honest. Very generous of you to give her that much money after how disrespectful she’s been to you,” the conservative commentator told Musk. The details surrounding the Elon Musk Child Support arrangement remain contentious.
St Clair’s Rebuttal and Paternity Test Allegation
Hours later, Ashley St Clair responded on X. She stated that the tech mogul had refused to confirm paternity via a DNA test. “Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born,” St Clair wrote directly to Musk.
She continued her rebuttal, “And you weren’t sending me money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for disobedience.” St Clair concluded forcefully, “But you’re really only punishing your son.” The influencer directly challenged Musk’s narrative about the payments and the paternity test.
The Child Custody Lawsuit
This public exchange follows earlier legal action. It all began in February when St Clair announced she shared a child with Musk. Subsequently, she filed a petition for sole child custody with the New York Supreme Court. In her filings, she alleged that Musk had only met the infant three times. She claimed he had no involvement in the child’s care.
Furthermore, her attorneys accused the billionaire of attempting to silence her. According to a report by US Today, they stated, “He filed an emergency application to gag Ashley and prevent her from communicating about his actions.” St Clair firmly maintains that Musk is the father. Legal filings state she “did not have sexual intercourse with any other male during the time the child was conceived.”
St Clair also shared alleged online text messages from Musk. One message from November 2024 reportedly read, “I want to knock you up again.” Another from February allegedly stated, “Well, we do have a legion of kids to make.” The Elon Musk Child Support issue has clearly escalated into a significant legal battle.
Musk’s Other Children
Elon Musk is known to have 14 children with four different women. He shares six children with his first wife, Justine Musk. He has three children with the singer Grimes. Additionally, he shares four children with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, including twins and two more children born in 2024.
