Aakhir Tak – In Depth:
A bone ossification test ordered by a Mumbai court has confirmed that Dharmaraj Kashyap, one of the accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, is not a minor but an adult. Kashyap initially claimed to be 17 years old in court. However, his Aadhaar card indicated his birth year as 2003, making him 21. The court then ordered a bone ossification test, which clarified his adult status.
This test was crucial in the investigation of the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was shot dead outside his office in Mumbai. Kashyap, along with two others, was implicated in the case. One of the gang members allegedly linked to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the killing, citing Siddique’s close association with Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who has been a target of the Bishnoi gang for years.
The police investigation revealed that the murder was a contract killing orchestrated by the Bishnoi gang. Three accused have been arrested, but another key shooter, Shiv Kumar alias Shiva Gautam, remains at large. The police are also probing the deeper involvement of the Bishnoi gang in this high-profile murder.
As the investigation unfolds, Mumbai Police continues its efforts to trace all involved and bring them to justice.
