Aakhir Tak – In Depth
Mumbai Police have detained two individuals from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Authorities are now on the lookout for a seventh accused, who is believed to be a key link between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the shooters involved in the crime.
One of the detained suspects, Harish, runs a scrap shop in Pune and allegedly provided financial aid and shelter to key accused Dharmaraj Kashyap and Shivprasad Gautam. He also bought a new mobile phone for the accused just days before the murder.
So far, three suspects—Dharmaraj Kashyap, Gurmail Singh, and Pravin Lonkar—have been arrested, and two pistols have been recovered. However, three others, including Shubham Lonkar, Shiv Kumar Gautam, and Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, remain at large.
Baba Siddique was shot on October 12 by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra, Mumbai. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
As investigations continue, police believe the seventh accused could expose critical connections between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the murder.
