Main Story:
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has officially been allotted the Civil Lines residence at 6, Flagstaff Road, according to an official notification issued by the Public Works Department (PWD) on Friday. The notice stated that Atishi must vacate her current residence within 15 days of taking possession of the newly allotted official bungalow.

An order issued by the Deputy Secretary (Allotment), PWD, read, “The Director of Allotment, PWD, is pleased to offer the undermentioned PWD General Pool Bungalow to Ms Atishi, Honourable Chief Minister, Government of NCT of Delhi.” The order also mentioned that the bungalow is currently under investigation by the CBI for corruption charges, and Atishi is required to cooperate fully with the probe.
The allotment comes after a political standoff between the ruling AAP and BJP, with Atishi accusing BJP of throwing her belongings out of the Civil Lines bungalow on orders from Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. The AAP claimed this was part of the BJP’s plan to take over the Chief Minister’s official residence.
However, sources from the Lieutenant Governor’s Office countered these claims, stating that the bungalow in question was not the official residence of the Chief Minister and could be allotted to anyone. “Atishi trespassed at 6, Flagstaff Road. The bungalow was never designated for her occupancy despite her request to the PWD,” said sources from the Lieutenant Governor’s office.
