Assembly elections in Jammu and Haryana are in full swing as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prepares to dominate key Hindu-majority areas like Jammu, Samba, Kathua, and Udhampur. Top BJP leaders such as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Home Minister Amit Shah, Smriti Irani, and JP Nadda are set to spearhead campaigns across these regions. Starting Thursday, Yogi Adityanath will lead three rallies, while Amit Shah will make appearances at four different locations. Smriti Irani is also scheduled to address two public meetings.
These rallies aim to bolster BJP’s presence in Jammu and Kashmir, as Amit Shah accused the opposition of stalling development in the region, asserting that the BJP will bring stability and progress to Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is campaigning in Haryana, where he sharply criticized the BJP for neglecting issues like unemployment and farmers’ distress. Rahul Gandhi will hold rallies in Karnal and Hisar districts, slamming the BJP government’s policies ahead of the October 5 Assembly elections.
As the elections draw closer, both parties are intensifying their strategies. While the BJP deploys its senior leaders for the campaign, the Congress, led by Rahul Gandhi, is also ramping up its efforts.
