In a tragic incident from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, a 3-year-old girl was raped and murdered by her 22-year-old uncle on Friday. The accused enticed the girl under the pretext of buying her chocolate and took her to a nearby field, where he committed the gruesome act. Both the accused and the victim lived in the same colony.
The girl’s parents searched for her and eventually reported her missing to the police. During the investigation, the accused confessed to the crime and is currently in police custody. The victim’s body has been sent to Puttur Government Hospital for post-mortem.
Tirupati SP Subbarayudu stated, “The police have identified the child’s uncle as the accused. He lured her with chocolates and then committed rape and murder.” A local MLA condemned the act and demanded stringent punishment for the accused. The Tirupati Rural police have filed a case, and an investigation is underway.
