On Saturday, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district successfully neutralized two terrorists during an encounter. The confrontation began after security personnel launched an anti-terror operation based on intelligence inputs indicating the presence of terrorists in the area. This successful operation followed another encounter earlier that day in Srinagar’s Khanyar region.

The Anantnag operation was prompted by information received about hidden militants. This marks the fourth such incident in the Kashmir valley since Friday. On the same day, two migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh were injured in a shooting in Budgam district. They are currently being treated at JVC Hospital Bemina in Srinagar.
