Aakhir Tak – In Depth
Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the BJP’s “Sankalp Patra” for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. The manifesto includes 25 significant promises to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the state. One key scheme, named “Gogo Didi,” pledges a monthly amount of Rs 2,100 to women.
During the event in Ranchi, Shah targeted Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing his government of failing to ensure safety for women and tribal communities. He criticized the administration for neglecting key issues, stating, “The current government has failed to protect Jharkhand’s pride — its bread, daughters, and land.” To address these challenges, the BJP is campaigning under the slogan “Roti, Beti, Maati,” pledging to safeguard the livelihood, family, and cultural heritage of the state.
Amit Shah attributed the formation of Jharkhand to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and praised PM Narendra Modi for the state’s development. He noted that progress halted after Soren’s administration took over. The BJP manifesto promises include 21 lakh houses with tap water connections, a Rs 2,000 monthly stipend for youth, 287,000 government jobs, and new self-employment opportunities.
