Aakhir Tak – In Depth
A MiG-29 fighter jet crashed near Agra, Uttar Pradesh, during a routine training sortie. The jet had taken off from Adampur, Punjab, and was heading to Agra when a technical malfunction occurred, forcing the pilot to eject safely. The Indian Air Force reported that the pilot managed to control the jet to ensure there was no harm to people or property on the ground. An inquiry has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the crash.
Videos from the site showed smoke rising from the wreckage, with bystanders gathering nearby. This incident is not isolated, as a similar crash happened on September 2 last year in Barmer, Rajasthan. That jet also suffered a technical fault, crashed into a field, and burst into flames. The pilot in that incident ejected safely as well.
