Aakhir Tak – In Depth:
On Sunday, a bomb blast near a CRPF school in Rohini, Delhi, sent shockwaves through the city. The explosion, which took place in the Prashant Vihar area, damaged nearby buildings and vehicles, but no injuries were reported. Authorities believe that a low-intensity IED controlled by a timer or remote caused the blast.
Delhi Police heightened their investigation following a pro-Khalistani group’s claim of responsibility on Telegram. The post was made on a channel called ‘Justice League India,’ stating that the explosion was a retaliation for the alleged targeting of pro-Khalistan separatists by Indian agencies. The post also featured a video of the blast with a “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark.
Police are currently in contact with Telegram to get information about the channel but have not received a response. Investigators suspect that the blast was a warning, especially considering the recent diplomatic tensions with Canada over Khalistani activities. Teams from the NIA, NSG, CRPF, and Delhi Police have sealed off the area, and forensic experts are gathering evidence from the site.
