Aakhir Tak – In Depth
Amid rising diplomatic tensions between Canada and India, the head of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Mike Duheme, has called on the Sikh community to assist in the investigation of violent incidents allegedly linked to the Indian government. He urged individuals with relevant information to come forward and share their knowledge regarding these accusations.
Duheme alleged that Indian agents have been involved in homicides, extortion, intimidation, and coercion on Canadian soil. He also emphasized that the RCMP is committed to ensuring public safety and urged the Sikh community to trust the police in maintaining a safe environment for all.
India has responded strongly to these allegations, dismissing them as baseless and false. Following the accusations, India recalled its high commissioner from Canada and expelled six Canadian diplomats. Indian officials have stated that no substantial evidence has been provided by Canada to support these claims, further fueling the diplomatic row between the two nations.
