Trump Compares Iran-Israel Conflict to Kids Fighting in Schoolyard
Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. will play a significant role in the Middle East. He emphasized that the Iranian rocket attack on Israel should never have occurred. On Wednesday, Trump likened the conflict to “two kids fighting in the schoolyard.” He mentioned, “This has really been bad, but they have to finish that process. Sometimes you have to just let it go a little bit; we’ll see what happens.”
He further commented, “But it’s a horrible, horrible war. And then you see what’s happening even today. You know, where is that going to stop? You look at these forces. They shot down almost 200 rockets today. But this is not the way anybody should have to live. So we’re obviously going to be very involved in the Middle East. This would never have happened.”
Iran launched nearly 200 missiles at Israel on Tuesday, responding to the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. Most of the missiles were intercepted and destroyed by Israel, assisted by the U.S. military and other agencies.
Immediately following the attack, Trump criticized U.S. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, calling the situation “very close to global catastrophe.” “I’ve been talking about World War III for a long time, and I don’t want to make predictions because the predictions always come true. We’re not going to make [predictions], but they are very close to global catastrophe,” Trump said.
He also claimed that when he was president, there was no war in the Middle East, and “Iran was in total check.”
“They were starved for cash, fully contained, and desperate to make a deal. Kamala flooded them with American cash, and ever since, they have been exporting terror all over… Under ‘President Trump,’ we had no war in the Middle East, no war in Europe, and harmony in Asia, no inflation, no Afghanistan catastrophe,” he added.
The former president charged that the two “incompetents running this country” are leading the U.S. to the brink of World War III.
