The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not released the revised NEET UG 2024 results, despite rumors and misinformation circulating online. The Ministry of Education clarified that the results have not been published yet, and the link being shared is from a previous year.
The confusion arose after the Supreme Court ruled that only the correct answers in the Physics question, previously misinterpreted in an NCERT textbook, should be considered. This decision led to the rescoring of candidates who had initially received extra marks.
The adjustment impacted the scores of 44 candidates who had achieved perfect scores of 720/720. Their scores were reduced by five marks, altering their All India Rank (AIR) and costing them their top positions.
To access the revised NEET UG 2024 scorecards, candidates should visit the official NTA website once the updated results are available. The new merit list, reflecting these changes, will be released within two days, according to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
This year’s NEET UG exam saw a record participation with over 23 lakh candidates, including a significant number of female and male candidates. The initial results announced 67 candidates as AIR 1, but the revision will significantly reshuffle these rankings.
