Aakhir Tak – In Depth
Mumbai – On November 5, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan received a death threat and a demand for ₹50 lakh in a call to Bandra Police Station. The phone number was traced to Raipur-based lawyer Faizan Khan, who claims his phone was stolen, alleging that he may be framed. Faizan had already reported the phone theft to the police.
Faizan Khan further disclosed that he had filed a previous complaint against Shah Rukh Khan over a dialogue in the 1994 film Anjaam, where the actor’s character refers to the body of a deer in his vehicle. Khan alleged that this dialogue could incite disharmony between communities. He explained that his friends from the Bishnoi community, whose principles include a strict prohibition on killing deer, found the dialogue offensive.
During questioning, Khan insisted that he had no connection to the threatening call and was being framed. He added that his WhatsApp was being accessed on a different phone. He urged the police to trace the call’s origin.
The police are rigorously investigating the case to track down the person responsible for the threat. The caller identified themselves only as “Hindustani.”
This incident follows recent threats against actor Salman Khan from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang over his alleged involvement in a blackbuck poaching case. Mumbai police are intensively examining all leads in this matter.
