Aakhir Tak – In Depth
On Friday, terrorists shot at two migrant workers in the Magam area of Budgam district, central Kashmir. The injured have been identified as 25-year-old Sofiyan and 20-year-old Usman Malik, both residents of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. They were working as daily wagers with the Jal Shakti Department and have been admitted to JVC Hospital Bemina in Srinagar. Both workers sustained gunshot wounds, but their condition is said to be stable.
Upon receiving information about the incident, security forces arrived at the scene and launched a search operation for the terrorists. The latest attack on non-locals in Jammu and Kashmir occurred 12 days after a shooting in the Sonamarg area, which resulted in the deaths of one doctor and six migrant workers.
The doctor and workers were part of a construction team working on the Z-Morh tunnel, connecting Gaganeer to Sonamarg in Central Kashmir. Additionally, on October 18, terrorists killed a migrant worker from Bihar in the Shopian district. Locals found the worker’s bullet-riddled body in the Waduna area of Zainapora in southern Kashmir.
